Christine Strong

Originally trained as a theatre designer with a particular interest in costume. Christine's love of contrast and colour is reflected in her embroidery. "I like to stitch mainly by hand, building up layers, cutting back to reveal surfaces, often burning or fraying edges." Christine has taught and exhibited extensively mainly in the SW, including major exhibitions at the Theatre Royal Plymouth where she was artist in residence.
